Currently, Kyrgyzstan is actively negotiating the transportation of goods via new logistics routes through Pakistan, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev told speaking at the Kyrgyzstan – Pakistan business forum in Bishkek.
He said that in particular this is: export-import of agricultural products; development of the pharmaceutical industry; development of tourism between our countries; offer in the textile industry and other areas.
‘The forum that we are holding today will not only continue the agreements reached earlier, but will also make it possible to find suppliers and consumers of goods for both sides. From our side, we invited government officials, representatives of ministries and departments, major decision-makers in a particular industry, municipal enterprises, large and medium-sized businesses of the country,’ Sariev added.
The delegation of Pakistan at this business forum is represented by such areas as pharmaceuticals, textiles, chemical industry, sporting goods, agricultural industry and food, leather and other goods that are in demand in the market of Kyrgyzstan.
Sariev noted that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has been going on for many years and has a positive growth trend.
According to official data, the trade turnover between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in 2022 amounted to 11.961 million US dollars, of which exports – 1.292 million dollars, imports – 10.669 million dollars.
Pharmaceutical products, clothing made from textile and knitted fabrics, food products and agricultural products (rice, tea, citrus fruits, vegetable oils), etc. are traditionally imported from the IRP to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Beans, live animals and tanned leather are exported from Kyrgyzstan.
