Kyrgyzstan intends to attract investors from France

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan hosted on Wednesday a meeting between representatives of the ministry and the Embassy of France in Kyrgyzstan with a residence in Nur-Sultan.

During the meeting, head of the Economic Policy Department Almaz Abdekirov informed about the socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan and activities of the ministry.

In particular, Abdekirov told about the activities carried out by the Cabinet of Ministers to simplify investment policy, support priority sectors of the economy, the press service of the Economy Ministry reported.

The representative of the Kyrgyz Economy Ministry suggested attracting investors in projects to create small and medium hydropower, manufacturing and mining industries.

In addition, the meeting participants voiced proposals for enhancing trade and economic cooperation aimed at facilitating the activities of business circles of the two countries.

As a result of the meeting, the sides agreed to intensify negotiations on the conclusion of a double taxation avoidance agreement and an agreement on the establishment of a Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
