Kyrgyzstan allocates KGS 2 bln for business projects in regions
For the first time in the history, the Government of Kyrgyzstan allocated KGS 2 billion from the state budget under special article to support business in regions, Head of the Investment Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy Khanchoro Murzaliyev said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
The funds were allocated as part of the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the country.
He said a special commission has been set up to select business projects, and today 30 business projects for KGS 590 million have been approved.
“All these 30 projects are located in the regions and the financing is aimed at creating or expanding production enterprises. The sectors of business projects are agriculture, tourism, light industry, IT sphere, etc., the department head said.
