Kyrgyzstan ahead of its partners in EAEU in terms of economic growth

Kyrgyzstan is ahead of other countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in terms of growth of economic indicators, Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev told reporters at Kabar Agency.

 

He said that the economy of Kyrgyzstan began to show a positive trend since September last year.

 

“And then the growth was about 0.1%. At the end of that year, thanks to the coordinated work and actions of the government, it was possible to reach 3.6%. Today, the figures look even better. According to the results of eight months, the economic growth rate shows 8%. Today, we are ahead of our partners in the EAEU in percentage terms,” said Daniyar Amangeldiev.

 

He added that with the transfer of the Kumtor gold deposit completely to the balance of the republic, from next year the indicators of the industry will be considered as a whole without division, as it was before.

 

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) includes five states – Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
