Kyrgyz military aviation celebrates its 60th anniversary


On Aug. 16, 2019, military unit 23565 of the Air Defense Forces of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces celebrated the 60th anniversary of its formation, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The festive event dedicated to this date was attended by First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, Colonel Nurlan Kiresheyev, the command of the Air Defense and Military Unit 23565, local governments, aviation veterans of the Armed Forces, representatives of the Russian air base Kant.

In the framework of the program, a solemn meeting was organized for invited guests with a film on the activities of the military aviation of Kyrgyzstan, the opening of memorials of the Hero of the Soviet Union Ismailbek Taranchiev and the first Central Asian pilot Abduvali Kurbanaliev, a demonstration of weapons, military and aviation equipment, demonstration flights of aviation, as well as watching infrastructure of the military unit 23565.

The event ended with a festive concert performed by the creative team of the Central Army House of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.
