Kyrgyz leader meets with delegation from UAE

Kyrgyz leader Sooronbay Jeenbekov met on Thursday with the delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), led by Education Minister Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi.

The sides exchanged views on current directions and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the countries, the Kyrgyz President’s press service said.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted with satisfaction that his recent official visit to the UAE was successful, where a number of fruitful meetings with the top leadership of the country were held, topical cooperation issues were discussed and plans for the near future were outlined.

He stressed Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi’s personal contribution to the successful organization of the visit.

President Sooronbay Jeenbekov expressed readiness and interest in deepening bilateral cooperation with the UAE in all directions of mutual interest.

UAE Minister of Education Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi also noted the success of Jeenbekov’s talks with Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and with UAE Vice President, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

At these talks, held as part of the Kyrgyz President’s official visit, the sides discussed a number of major projects in various spheres.

He emphasized the UAE delegation has arrived to deepen bilateral relations and elaborate on the agreements, reached during Jeenbekov’s official visit to the Emirates.

He added the official visit of the Kyrgyz leader resulted in decision to establish several working groups in different areas, and therefore, the delegation includes heads and representatives of several large companies.

Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi added meetings with heads of ministries and departments of Kyrgyzstan are scheduled for tomorrow, Jan.10 to discuss prospects for cooperation.

The UAE education minister once again confirmed readiness of the Emirati side to increase joint cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, and expressed hope that the results of the talks between the two sides will yield positive results in the near future.

On Dec. 11 12, 2019 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov paid official visit to the UAE at the invitation of Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Within the framework of the visit, Sooronbay Jeenbekov also met with UAE Vice President, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dubai Majid Saif Al Ghurair, representatives of the UAE business community, Director General of the Zayed Foundation Hamad Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri.
