Members of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan and the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament hold a joint retreat in the village of Korday, Zhambyl Region of Kazakhstan.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported that during the event, the parliamentary delegations of the Kyrgyz and Kazakh sides visited and familiarized themselves with the activities of Ak-Zhol (Korday) and Karasu (Aktilek) checkpoints. Reports of the heads of checkpoints are heard on the ground.

Further, the parliamentarians will go to the Korday District Akimat for a joint meeting, during which they will exchange views on a wide range of issues: the development of trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, solution of transport and logistics problems within the Eurasian Economic Union, procedures for control and inspection activities by authorized bodies of Kazakhstan in relation to goods coming from Kyrgyzstan and other relevant issues.

Members of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh are taking part in the event.
