Kyrgyz FM receives Iranian president’s special representative for Afghanistan
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev received on Monday Special Representative of President of Iran for Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi, who is in Bishkek for a working visit.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on developments in Afghanistan and ways to resolve the Afghan problem, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
Kulubaev noted the importance of interaction with the Afghan government in order to prevent further escalation of tension in this country, which could have a negative impact on regional security issues.
The minister noted the need to effectively use the existing mechanisms of regional cooperation, including the SCO, and continue searching for new ones in order to put Afghanistan on the track of peaceful and sustainable development.
In conclusion, Jeenbek Kulubaev and Hassan Kazemi Qomi agreed to continue political dialogue in this direction in order to provide maximum support to the Afghan people to build a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
