Professor of surgery of the Kyrgyz Republic Ernst Akramov was awarded the medal of the Issyk-Kul Forum named after Chingiz Aitmatov for his contribution to medicine and saving people’s lives.
The award ceremony was held at Kabar News Agency with the participation of the Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, Secretary General of the Issyk-Kul Forum Assol Moldokmatova.
In her speech, Moldokmatova noted that the surgeon Ernest Akramov has done a lot and is very important for the country.
“Today we are glad that Ernst Khashimovich is in good health, in the mood to meet every morning. I know that Chingiz Torekulovich treated him with deep respect, and I am sure that he would be glad for this moment today,” she said.
In turn, Akramov thanked Moldokmatova and noted that this is his daily work.
Ernst Akramov was born June 24, 1936. He is the Soviet, Kyrgyz surgeon, humanist, statesman and public figure, philanthropist; Doctor of Medical Sciences), Professor, Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republi, Honored Doctor of the Kyrgyz SSR; Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology, Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic, Master of Sports of the USSR in gymnastics.
In a recent interview to one of the local media Akramov said that he has been in surgery for 60 years without holidays and days off.
