Kyrgyz Ambassador to Uzbekistan holds series of meetings on occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission
Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Zhunusov held a number of meetings on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission in Tashkent told Kabar.
At a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov on January 12, the current state and prospects for the development of a multifaceted Kyrgyz-Uzbek strategic partnership, the implementation of previously reached agreements and a schedule of upcoming events at various levels, including within the framework of regional cooperation, were discussed.
Zhunusov noted that at present, thanks to the political will of the heads of the two states, Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation is at the highest level, good neighborly relations are strengthening, trade between countries is increasing, joint ventures are being created, cross-border cooperation between regions is actively developing.
Minister Kamilov thanked Zhunusov for his personal contribution to the development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
On January 13 and 14, 2022, Zhunusov also held meetings with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Khokim (head of administration) of the city of Tashkent Jahongir Artikkhodzhaev.
During the meetings, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation during the pandemic, in particular, the effective assistance of the Uzbek side in the fight against coronavirus infection in Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, the Uzbek side noted the fruitful and active work of Zhunusov as Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, and also wished him success in his future activities.
