Kyrgyz ambassador, TIKA president discuss co op in social and economic spheres
Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev met on Thursday with President of the Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) Serkan Kayalar, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry said.
The parties discussed plans to expand TIKA projects in the regions of Kyrgyzstan in areas such as agriculture, health, education, tourism, construction of social facilities, etc.
Ambassador Omuraliyev invited TIKA to take part in the implementation of the Taza Suu (Clean Water) national project, and the project on access to the Internet in school facilities in remote regions of Kyrgyzstan.
Serkan Kayalar noted that at one time, the first TIKA office abroad was opened in brotherly and friendly Kyrgyzstan, and assured all planned projects agreed with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic would be implemented.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) is a government department of the Prime Ministry of Turkey
TIKA is responsible for organization of the bulk of Turkey’s official development assistance to developing countries, with a particular focus on Turkic countries and communities.
Active in 59 countries with 61 offices, TIKA has a presence in Central Asia, Africa, the Balkans and South America.
