In the context of the continuation of the military conflict, an official ceremony of presenting credentials to President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Idris Kadyrkulov was held on Aug. 17 in the St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv, the Kyrgyz ambassador wrote.
The ambassador said that during the bilateral meeting, President Zelensky proposed to develop cooperation in a wide range of bilateral relations, with an emphasis on the trade and economic sphere and the development of digital technologies.
“We proposed, on the principles of reciprocity, to consider the issue of establishing a monument to the world-famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov in Kiev, and a monument to the great Ukrainian kobzar Taras Shevchenko in Bishkek, which will positively affect friendly relations.
The meeting took place in a confidential and friendly atmosphere. At the end of the conversation, I wished the president of Ukraine a speedy end to the military conflict, and peace and prosperity to the Ukrainian people,” the diplomat wrote.
