As part of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the UK Ulan Dzhusupov met in London with Speaker of the House of Commons of the British Parliament Sir Lindsey Hoyle, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the conversation, which took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, the parties marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and Great Britain and stressed the importance of further development of bilateral cooperation.
Hoyle, in particular, noted the great potential for trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UK.
During the meeting, Dzhusupov conveyed to the speaker of the House of Commons a message from the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiev. Interest was expressed in close cooperation between the two parliaments and parliamentary friendship groups.
An agreement was reached to intensify mutual visits and exchange of experience in parliamentary activities between the parliamentarians of the two countries.
