Kazakhstan’s small and medium business become leader in the production of goods


The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the country’s GDP in 2016 was 23.1%. At the same time, 3 million people are employed in small and medium-sized enterprises.

“For comparison, the volume of crude oil production per year was 7.2 trillion tenge. Here’s an oil country!”- said Ruslan Dalenov.

The output of SMBs per capita is 1 million tenge per person. The largest number of enterprises is concentrated in Almaty and in the South-Kazakhstan region.

In general, the country’s GDP was 46 trillion tenge. GDP per capita is 2.6 million tenge. More than 25% of GDP is made up of industry.
