Kazakhstans mining industry potential presented at World Congress in Brazil
Kazakhstan delegation led by Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Investments and Development Zamir Saginov, which also includes representatives of large Kazakhstani mining companies, Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, research institutes, and Iteca Exhibition Company, partakes in XXIV World Mining Congress held in Rio de Janeiro.
The event kicked off on October 18 brings together more than 2,000 delegates from 34 countries, including government officials, scientists, members of international specialized organizations, heads of mining companies, and representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Brazil.
The Congress program includes a meeting of WMC International Organizing Committee, WMC Plenary Session, exhibition of the latest mining achievements, and contest of scientific and technical works and projects. The participants will address topical issues of mineral deposits exploration, surface and underground mining, automation and robotics, and mining innovations.
On the first day of the Congress, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Investments and Development outlined main areas and prospects for development of Kazakhstans mining industry and informed members of the WMC International Organizing Committee on the course of Kazakhstans preparation for XXV World Mining Congress.
KAZNEX INVEST National Export and Investment Agency presented a national stand about mining and metallurgical complex, investment policy, export potential of our country, and EXPO 2017 exhibition.
On October 21, the oil lamp, which symbolizes the granting of the right to organize the next Congress to be held in Astana, June 19-22, 2018, will be officially transferred to Kazakhstan delegation.
