By 2021, Kazakhstan will produce 43 percent of the required agricultural machinery. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kairat Aituganov at the meeting with deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

To increase the supply of agricultural producers with machinery, it is planned to increase the renewal of the machine and tractor fleet by 2.9% by 2021, the volume of agricultural machinery production will amount to 6613 units by 2021, local content in agricultural machinery production by 2021 43%. At the same time, already today our Ministry together with the Ministry of Investments and Development developed and implemented the Agricultural Machinery Industry Development Roadmap, K. Aituganov said.

According to him, agreements were signed on developing domestic agricultural machinery production between JSC KazAgroFinance and OJSC AgromashHolding, OJSC Gomselmash, which stipulate obligations to increase the level of local content, types of produced machinery and production volumes. The transition was made in terms of investment subsidies from the percentage of compensation to a fixed standard with reference to the cost of domestically produced agricultural machinery. If earlier one grain combine of foreign production required more than 30 million tenge of compensation, now 3 grain combines will be subsidized for these funds. The approaches on providing JSC KazAgroFinance with equipment for leasing are reviewed. Thus, by reorienting the provision of leasing of, firstly, domestically produced machinery, the volume of acquired machinery will increase 50-70%, which will accordingly increase the rate of renewal by 1.5-2 times.
