Kazakhstan to organize a film market within the framework of EXPO-2017
The first film market “Eurasia Film Market” will be organized within the framework of the International Film Festival “Eurasia”, which will become one of the most significant events of EXPO-2017. This was reported by Minister of Culture and Sport Arystanbek Mukhamediuly at the press conference following the Government meeting.
The film market is a business fair, where the subject of presentation, purchase and sale is film production.
Where the festival includes visits to film screenings, the film market is for movie trade – the sale and purchase of films shown at the very festival. Film companies (copyright holders) will demonstrate new movies and fragments of unfinished motion pictures. In addition, the market will become a platform for professional self-education: conferences, round tables, thematic discussions, master classes will be held for the producers and directors.
Film markets are especially of great interest among professionals at all major film festivals around the world Mukhamediuly said.
