Kazakhstan to assist Kyrgyzstan in adapting country’s economy to EEU’s requirements
“We hope that the support of EEU states will allow us to take in the shortest terms all advantage of integration, to increase the participation of the republic’s enterprises in mutual trade and improve the standard of living in the country. I am glad that the agreements that were reached at the level of the presidents were embodied in signed agreements”, – Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov noted.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, the republic has done a great job to create conditions guaranteeing quality assurance and safety of goods supplied to the countries of the Union.
“Funds from Kazakhstan will be directed to the modernization and development of necessary infrastructure, in particular, veterinary and phytosanitary laboratories”, – O. Pankratov stated.
Kazakhstan will increase the volume of financial support from 7 to 41 million dollars. The funds will be spent on infrastructure development, including construction, upgrading and retrofitting of checkpoints and laboratories in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The process of interaction between 2 countries will also be simplified. Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan agreed upon the authorized bodies that will determine the conditions and formats for providing assistance – the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
Recall, Kazakhstan has expanded since January 1, 2017, a list of products from Kyrgyzstan, permitted to import to Kazakhstan, on 85 groups of goods that are produced by Kyrgyz enterprises from the relevant register of enterprises of EEU. Before that, entry permit of import had been only in 5 regions and 14 groups.
