KAZAKHSTAN SOLD CHOCOLATE ABROAD FOR $21 MLN
In the export structure of goods produced from domestic agricultural products, the share of chocolate and confectionery in 2019 has amounted to 9%, Strategy2050.kz refers to the Agriculture Ministry’s information.
Since the beginning of the year, proceeds from the sale of chocolate to foreign markets amounted to 21 million US dollars, from confectionery goods Kazakhstan earned 42.6 million US dollars.
It is worth noting that the largest shares in the export of finished products processed from agricultural raw materials belong to such groups of goods as flour (31%) and vegetable oil (15%).
In general, the export of processed products for 9 months this year has amounted to 757 million US dollars, of which 77% ($580 million) are flour, vegetable oil, dairy products, confectionery, seed meal, fish products, mineral and carbonated waters, chocolate, pasta and poultry.
It should be noted that during a recent meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Issues, Nature Management and Rural Development of the Senate of the Parliament dedicated to the development of agricultural processing, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov said that this year the volume of food production from agricultural raw materials increased by 2,5% and amounted to 1 trillion 197.9 billion tenge.
At the same time, Saparov added that the volume of export of processed products also exceeded last year’s level. According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan plans to increase the export of finished products processed from agricultural raw materials to 1.3 billion US dollars by the end of the year.
