Kazakhstan rendered humanitarian assistance to Ethiopia
Kazakhstan rendered the humanitarian assistance to Ethiopia in the amount of 50 thousand dollars, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.
The ceremony of transfer of humanitarian aid of Kazakhstan to the National Commission on Disaster Risk Management of Ethiopia in connection with the decision of the Kazakh Government to provide the humanitarian aid in the amount of 50 000 dollars to eliminate the consequences of the strongest drought in the country was held”, the message reads.
“The Government and people of Kazakhstan could not remain indifferent to the suffering of the Ethiopian people, so today we will provide the assistance of our country to the affected population”, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia Yerlik Ali said in his speech at the ceremony.
Ye. Ali also expressed confidence that the people and the Government of Ethiopia are sure to overcome all difficulties.
Head of the National Commission for Disaster of Ethiopia Risk Management M. Cass expressed his deep gratitude to the Government of Kazakhstan for the support and wished every success to the friendly people.
