KAZAKHSTAN PARTICIPATED IN 2019 REGIONAL CYBERSECURITY WEEK

Yevgeniy Yemelyanov, Director of the National Coordination Center for Information Security, and Medet Iskakov, Head of the Computer Incident Response Service, led a Kazakh delegation to the Regional Cybersecurity Week taken place on 28-31 October 2019 in Muscat, Oman, Strategy2050.kz informs referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Four main events � the 8th Regional Cybersecurity Summit, FIRST & ITU-ARCC Symposium, 11th OIC-CERT Annual Conference and the 7th Regional Cyber Drills took place as part of the 2019 Regional Cybersecurity Week. In addition to those, the OIC Computer Emergency Response Services’ Board Meeting was held.

During the event, the participants addressed the issues as cybersecurity vulnerabilities, regulatory reforms in preventing and combating cybercrime within the implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the importance of regional and international cooperation.
