Minister of Information and Communication Dauren Abayev has launched the first Kazakh movie channel “El Arna”.

“The main goal of modern state policy is to promote our own domestic products under the common brand Made in Kazakhstan. But it would be wrong to think that we are talking only about light, heavy industry, agriculture and science-intensive industries. Also important is the popularization among the creative masses of Kazakh creative products, including movies, TV, music, literature, and art, Dauren Abayev said during the channel launch ceremony.

The Minister emphasized that it was with this socio-ideological, meaningful goal that the Ministry of Information and Communication launched a platform on the history of Kazakhstan “National digital history”, rebranded the Adebiet Portaly, initiated the new domestic TV award Tumar, and much more.

“Today we are launching one of our most anticipated projects – the El Arna TV channel. In non-stop mode, “El Arna” will broadcast our films, serials, documentary and short films, classics of domestic cinema, cognitive projects and experimental works of young filmmakers, Dauren Abayev said.

In conclusion, the Minister thanked all the people who were responsible for the project launch, and personally thanked the Khabar agency team.

“I am sure that the first Kazakhstani movie channel will not only win the hearts of TV viewers, but will also contribute to the development of creativity in our country, the Minister concluded.

Before the launch of broadcasting, public figure Myrzatai Zholdasbekov gave Bata and wished a long life for the channel and the people’s love for the new television project.

The channel’s broadcasting began with a film about the outstanding Kazakh composer Shamshi Kaldayakov.
