Kazakhstan intends to develop a system of military-patriotic education of younger generation

Military-patriotic education of youth – one of the priority activities of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan has been actively developing a network of military-patriotic and military sports groups at schools, expanding military and patronage ties, strengthening cooperation between the military and civilian youth.

Currently, according to assessment of military analysts, almost every fourth pupil of the military-patriotic club connects his life with the army. As a conclusion – young people who have passed training and hardening in the military-patriotic clubs, drafted into the army or enrolled in military schools have higher skills to learn the basics of military science, it is easier to adapt to the conditions of the military service.

Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan, Colonel-General Saken Zhasuzakov instructed to build on the basis of the Almaty army house a branch of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to enhance military-patriotic education of youth. It is planned to place a military history museum, a division of the garrison ensemble and orchestra of Airmobile troops and veterans’ organizations.

In perspective, the issue of creation of similar branches in other cities of Kazakhstan is worked out, who will assume a role of dialogue platforms for coordination and support of the military-patriotic, army and veterans’ movement in the region, area of practical cooperation with local authorities and community organizations.

Note that the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan – President Nursultan Nazarbayev opened the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces in Astana in December 2015. Today, there have conducted an extensive work in the field of military-patriotic education of young people, study and promotion of the military history of the state, military traditions and military ceremonies.
