Kazakhstan intends to adopt foreign innovations in agribusiness

Improving the state regulation of agro-industrial complex measures to ensure the link between science and industry will be implemented.

“In order to meet the challenges described in the new state program of development of agrarian and industrial complex, it is necessary to change approaches in the development of science and education. It is also necessary to pay more attention to the “integration of science and education”, – he said.

Analysis revealed systemic problems indicating the strategic goal of agricultural science of Kazakhstan – high technology and competitive products focused on meeting the demand of agribusiness (research, implementation, maintenance, consulting).

For that purpose “National Agricultural Research and Education Center” was created in August 2015 by the Government Resolution at the Ministry of Agriculture. The purpose of the Centre is to ensure the accelerated innovative development of agrarian sector of economy of Kazakhstan on the basis of training and retraining of highly skilled professionals, the development and implementation of research results, transfer of effective foreign technologies.

According to the press service, the Research Center is working on the construction of the optimal scheme of the dissemination of knowledge, R and D results and NIO services. Also, there is a Center of transfer and commercialization of agricultural technologies, which aims at the introduction of R and D results of national research institutions. Consideration is being given to expanding activities in terms of attracting foreign innovations to mass adoption in Kazakhstan.
