KAZAKHSTAN, ETHIOPIA DISCUSSED BILATERAL COOPERATION

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia, Barlybai Sadykov, met with State Minister of Foreign Affairs in Ethiopia, Redwan Hussein, and Permanent Secretary for Africa, African Union and Middle East Woinshet Tadesse, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the MFA’s press service.

During a meeting with the State Minister, Ambassador Sadykov outlined Kazakhstan’s approaches to developing cooperation with Ethiopia, having noted its great potential and high level of mutual understanding and trust between the parties. He suggested specific areas of possible interaction in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Mr. Hussein noted the positive experience of cooperation with Kazakhstan, including within the UN Security Council, noting that the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry fully supports the development of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and will take concrete steps in this direction in cooperation with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ethiopia.

During the meeting with W. Tadesse, the parties exchanged views on the results of 33rd Assembly of the African Union held on February 9 10 this year. Tadesse spoke about approaches to conflict resolution in Africa, ongoing structural transformations in the AU Commission, as well as preparations for the launch on July 1 next year the African free trade zone
