We remind that the Constitutional Law “On the State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan” was adopted on December 16, 1991. The country received the legal registration of the status of an independent, democratic and legal state, which has full authority on its territory, independently defining and conducting the internal and external policies.

During the solemn meeting devoted to the 25th anniversary of Independence President Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated all citizens of the country on the anniversary.

“25 years of Independence is an unprecedented feat of our generation, timeless. It is symbolic that in the anniversary year Kazakhstan was elected to the UN Security Council. The Declaration of the 25th anniversary of Independence adopted by the Parliament became an important political and legal document, which reflects our great achievements and victories”, the President of Kazakhstan said.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized the progressive social development.

“We have formed the unique model of peace and harmony. Born under the public will of the people, the Assembly has gathered under its wing all ethnic groups. The main thing – we create a just society in which everyone can say: “I am a citizen of Kazakhstan, this is my country, I build my happiness here”, the President said.

In the world Kazakhstan has a reputation of a reliable partner, peace-loving state, building its relations on the principles of friendship and equal cooperation. On November 23 this year the Parliament of Kazakhstan, perceiving the sovereignty of Kazakhstan as the greatest value of our people, expressing a firm commitment to the strategic course of First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, has adopted the Declaration of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence.

“Adopting the declaration of the 25th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan the parliamentarians, of course, were proud of their country that had managed to pass the path for a short historical period that is equal to the historical era by its achievements. Kazakhstan today is a successful country that has created the dynamic economy, conducting a convincing social policy aimed primarily at the rise of living standards of people, improving their well-being, based on the social stability and harmony”, deputy of the Senate of Kazakhstan Mikhail Bortnik said.
