Kazakhstan attracted $ 14.5 bn investments over 9 months
“2016 year is good enough in terms of attracting FDI. After severe 2014-2015 year, we have restored FDI inflows”, – said B. Zhangurazov.
He noted that attracting FDI – an important aspect in any economy, because expertise, capital and export opportunities come together with foreign direct investments.
“We attract an average $ 10 billion of FDI. Investments consist of three components: contribution to the share capital, reinvestment, engaging in corporate loans”, – informed B. Zhangurazov.
According to UNCTAD, the UN Trade and Development Conference in 2015, FDI global flows increased by approximately 40% to $ 1.8 trillion – the highest level since the beginning of the global financial and economic crisis in 2008.
“Most of all 65 billion dollars – the Netherlands invested in Kazakhstan, the second – the United States – $ 23 billion and France – $ 13 billion, also the largest investors: Russia, Japan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, China, Hong Kong”, – said chairman of the company.
According to UNCTAD, total FDI over 23 years amounted to 129.6 billion dollars. So, for the last 5 years (2011-2015.) the inflow of net investments in Kazakhstan amounted to 50, 1 billion dollars.
