Signing the document, the heads of tourism departments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan stressed the importance of existing friendly relations between the two fraternal peoples and the importance of further strengthening cooperation between our states in the field of tourism.

Bilateral cooperation will focus on the following priority areas: exchange of experience in the effective management of tourist destinations, maximum assistance in carrying out tourist activities of the two countries.

The participation of the Kazakhstani side Uzbek International Tourist Fair “The World of Leisure”, which opened today in Tashkent, demonstrates Kazakhstan’s readiness for effective implementation of the Strategy for Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, adopted for 2017-2019.

The next step in the implementation of the action plan will be the participation of Uzbek tour operators in the 17th Kazakhstan International Exhibition Tourism and Travel KITF 2017 (Almaty, April 19-21, 2017) and Astana Leisure 2017 (Astana, September 27-29, 2017).

On the eve of EXPO-2017, our states intend to organize combined tours along the route Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara-Khiva and Shymkent-Turkestan-Astana and in the opposite direction for participants and guests of the international specialized exhibition that will be held this summer in Astana.

Our countries intend to create a joint tourist product “The Great Silk Road” to increase the tourist flow.

In order to develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan agreed to promote the exchange of educational technologies and research in the field of tourism, as well as experience in the organization and management of tourism business.

It should be noted that the spring Uzbek International Tourist Fair “The World of Leisure” is held in Tashkent on April 13-14.
