Kazakhstan and the US will not charge airfares for flights with government delegations
The Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan in plenary session approved the bill On Ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United States of America regarding fees for air navigation services for state aircraft.
The purpose of this agreement is mutual exemption from air navigation fees of state aircraft with government delegations on board. Such an agreement, subject to the Law on the Use of the Airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Aviation Affairs, is subject to ratification. To fulfill the provisions of the agreement, the parties will issue appropriate diplomatic permits for each flight. Agencies responsible for fulfilling the terms of the agreement from the Kazakh side will be the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Investments and Development, – First Deputy Minister of Investments and Development Roman Sklyar said, presenting the bill.
According to him, taking into account the limited number of flights of state aircraft under this agreement, it is not expected that there will be significant economic loss for civil aviation organizations providing air navigation services.
The agreement was signed during the visit of the Head of State to Washington in January 2018.
