Kazakhstan and Belgium to strengthen cooperation in policy and economy
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the sides discussed perspectives in development of political, economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, and changed opinions on current issues of international agenda of the day.
Deputy of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Roman Vasilenko acquainted the interlocutors with the main essence of constitutional reforms directed to redistribution of power among the branches of authority, and acquainted with the massage of the President of Kazakhstan, the article of the Head of State The course towards future: modernization of public conscience, as well as with the main priorities and initiatives of the State during the membership in the United Nations Security Council in 2017-2018.
The interlocutors agreed that global scale of threats of extremism and terrorism dictates the necessity of deeper consolidation of efforts of the whole worldwide community, as well as working out of efficient strategy of counteraction. Joint efforts must be directed firstly toward prevention and suppression of proliferation of radical ideology, as well as toward establishment of mutually beneficial dialogue with all constructive forces, those ready to combat violent extremism.
Besides, the acceptance matter of perspectives in the framework of the UN universal convention on struggle against international terrorism proposed by Kazakhstan into consideration to worldwide community in 2015, was concerned.
The diplomats also noted a positive movement in development of trade and economic relationships.
We remind that according to the results for 2016, the turnover between the states increased by 12% in comparison with 2015 and comprised 299,5 million dollars.
The sides accepted reciprocal aspiration of foreign policy ministries of Kazakhstan and Belgium for the activation of cooperation in all directions.
