KAZAKHSTAN AND AFGHANISTAN DISCUSSED PROSPECTS OF BILATERAL COOPERATION
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, has had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Strategy2050.kz reports referring to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
The conversation was initiated by the Afghan side.
The sides discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakhstan-Afghanistan cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.
Minister Tleuberdi informed his Afghan counterpart that the Government of Kazakhstan had decided to provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in the form of food stuffs.
Mr. Atmar expressed gratitude and noted that the Afghan side appreciated the assistance provided by the Government of Kazakhstan. He also said that Afghanistan was interested in importing grain and its processed products from Kazakhstan. Afghanistan expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in the transit, transport and energy sectors, as well as in continuing of Kazakhstan’s educational program for Afghan citizens.
