KAZAKH FM THANKED JAPANESE GOVERNMENT FOR HUMANITARIAN AID
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Toshimitsu Motegi, Kazakh Foreign Ministry reports.
The interlocutors exchanged views on measures taken by both states in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The Japanese side highly appreciated Kazakhstan’s measures.
In turn, Minister Tleuberdi expressed his gratitude to the Government of Japan for the humanitarian aid provided in the form of medications and PCR tests, as well as consulting assistance of Japanese specialists through video conferencing. He noted the importance of continuing international cooperation to combat the global proliferation of COVID-19.
The Ministers also discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the current state of strategic partnership and noted the importance of continuing the political dialogue at the highest level. They agreed to enhance trade, economic and investment partnerships, including through regular meetings of the bilateral intergovernmental commission, as well as the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue.
