KAZAKH FARMERS PRODUCED GOODS IN AMOUNT APPROXIMATING 5TRL TENGE
The gross agricultural output in Kazakhstan in January November 2019 amounted to 4 trillion 909 billion 820 million tenge, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The figure is 672 billion tenge or 15.8% more than in the 11 months of 2018.
Crop production amounted to 2 trillion 867.6 billion tenge (an increase of 19.1%), and livestock production 2.03 trillion tenge (an increase of 10.4%).
Northern Kazakhstan (475 billion tenge), Almaty (472 billion), Akmola (348 billion) and Turkestan (346 billion) regions are traditionally leaders in the production of plant products in Kazakhstan. Basically, it was these regions that ensured an increase in production in the total volume of the country. The structure of products is dominated by crops.
In livestock breeding, as in previous years, the Almaty (323 billion tenge) Eastern Kazakhstan (281 billion) and Turkestan (243 billion) regions are ahead by a large margin. In livestock and poultry production, they also show steady growth.
As previously reported, more than a million Kazakhs are working in the country’s agriculture.
