Kazakh delegation to OSCE gave explanations on constitutional reform in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informed that the essence of the proposed reform lies in the serious redistribution of power and democratization of the political system as a whole.

Further actions to improve the effectiveness and accountability of all branches of the government were identified. It is noted that the reform will contribute to the establishment of an appropriate system of checks and balances between the branches of the government. Given the importance of the proposed measures, the issue of the constitutional reform will be submitted for public discussion.

The OSCE Permanent Council informed about the fact that this reform is based primarily on our own experience and the needs of Kazakhstan, and it meets the future development of the country and Five institutional reforms.
