Kazakh Defence Minister meets with Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense of Japan
Astana hosted the meeting of Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan Colonel-General Saken Zhasuzakov and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense of Japan Takayuki Kobayashi.
The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral military cooperation, as well as exchanged views on common security issues in the region and the world.
Kazakhstan and Japan have long-standing partnerships. Bilateral relations between our countries are developing in a positive way, as evidenced by mutual high level visits. We should also note the continued support of Japan in all initiatives of Astana on the global stage, in the framework of ensuring security in the region and the world, � Colonel-General Saken Zhasuzakov stressed during the meeting.
Within the framework of the visit, the Japanese military delegation visited the National Defense University named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation, where they familiarized themselves with the curriculum and facilities of the university. It should be noted that cooperation in the military-scientific circles of the two states provides a unique opportunity to enhance the level of military personnel training and exchange experience in modern teaching methods.
Also the military delegation was provided with a tour to the Military History Museum of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
