Seedstars, a leading startup community and investor in the emerging-markets, officially selected Nur-Sultan as the venue for the Seedstars Summit CEE 2019 in Kazakhstan from 20 to 22 November. According to the Seedstars World Competition 2019, more than 20 of the most promising startups from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia will participate in the summit to present their projects to investors and experts in a particular business field.

The main conference will be held in the confines of the AIFC FinTech Hub and will bring together more than 200 key participants from more than 20 countries dealing with relevant topics: Smart Cities, EdTech and AI.

Traditionally, the Seedstars Summit will run for three days. On November 20 and 21, before the main event, the event will begin with an intensive closed startup bootcamp led by Pierre-Alain Masson, managing partner of Seedstars, where the participating teams will learn how to ensure the growth of the company and scale their business.

The Investor Forum will be held on the second day in cooperation with AIFC FinTech Hub, where more than 20 highly qualified experts and founders of the company, namely Arai Bekembayeva (Bolt), Alena Tkachenko (Nommi), Leticia Monte (Phillips Health Systems), Patrick Bosteels (Stage -Co) will hold 1:1 meetings with startups.

In addition, the forum will be a great opportunity to unite startups with such influential investors as Nurbek Rayev (Whitehill), Amirkhan Omarov (BeInTech Company), Arsalan Alfred Ni (AV Ventures), Elena Boytsun (Luminate) and Hambartsum Kakhketsn (SmartGateVC) and others.

Summing up the entire event, the third and main day (22 November) will be open to participants who want to learn the latest technical trends, expand their networking and meet inspiring founders and entrepreneurs. Espree Devora, known as The Girl Who Gets it Done, will visit Kazakhstan for the first time from Los Angeles to host the WomenInTech podcast live at the summit. She will discuss women’s entrepreneurship and opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Our slogan is: create, invest, inspire. In this way, we urge the founders of companies to innovate, investors to invest, and those who have already achieved great success to inspire others. The uniqueness of the Seedstars Summit CEE lies in its high quality, but at the same time very simple and human-oriented approach, Evgenia Shevchenko, the Summit’s manager, said.

Among the companies and institutions that help to host the Seedstars Summit CEE 2019 include AIFC FinTech Hub, the Embassy of Switzerland. Seedstars Summit CEE’s local partners include Asia Waters, Ulker, Pascucci coffee.
