Kazakh Ambassador to Kuwait Daulet Emberdiyev presented his credentials to the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the Bayan Palace, the Kazakh foreign ministry informs.

The Ambassador conveyed the best wishes of First President National Leader Nursultan Nazarbayev and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Emir of Kuwait, confirming the interest of the Kazakh leadership in further building up efforts to develop cooperation in all areas of cooperation. It was noted that the peacemaking efforts of the Emir of Kuwait are highly appreciated throughout the world and in Kazakhstan, and that the Humanitarian Leader title awarded him by the United Nations in 2014 is a good example of that.

The Ambassador emphasized that his ideas are consonant with the initiative of the Kazakh First President on the process of Islamic reconciliation as a new paradigm in relations in the Muslim world by demonstrating goodwill and a constructive approach to the peaceful settlement of disputes, while observing the principle of non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.

He also spoke about the key areas outlined by President Tokayev this year in such important speeches as the inaugural speech and the address to the people of Kazakhstan, as well as mentioned the Kazakh measures to diversify the economy, promote transit and transport potential and attract investment, informing the Emir of Kuwait about the modernization of the development of the country in the political and socio-economic spheres.

The meeting emphasized the need to deepen cooperation within the framework of international organizations. Both sides fruitfully cooperated as the convinced supporters of the principles of multilateralism, the anti-war and anti-nuclear course, in particular at the UN Security Council as non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, with Kazakhstan in 2017-18, and Kuwait in 2018-19.

A proposal was made to support important initiatives of First President and National Leader Nursultan Nazarbayev in an effort to create a new geopolitical reality based on three dialogues, as well as eliminating terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. The Ambassador invited Kuwait to join the CICA process, which will provide an opportunity to jointly build an architecture of the future security system in Asia.

Starting October 1 this year, Kuwait has been in the list of countries with a visa-free regime, a treaty between the Kazakh and Kuwaiti Governments on the exemption of holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements has been in place, as well as the necessary conditions for investment.

The Emir of Kuwait praised the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and expressed his readiness to develop relations with Kazakhstan on a wide range of bilateral and international issues. He conveyed his good greetings to the First President of Kazakhstan, and President Tokayev, and wished the Kazakh Ambassador success.
