K.Tokayev called to strengthen cooperation with Georgia

Having congratulated Z. Abashidze on the beginning of the diplomatic mission in our country and wishing him every success, K. Tokayev noted that for 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Astana and Tbilisi, a high level of cooperation has been achieved. According to the Speaker of the Senate, it is important to pay attention to strengthening the dialogue between the legislative bodies of two countries, as well as further development of trade, economic and cultural ties.

The head of the upper house of Parliament considers the upcoming official visit to Astana by President Giorgi Margvelashvili very important, as the head of the Georgian state plans to attend the opening ceremony of the National Day of Georgia at EXPO 2017, hold talks with President N. Nazarbayev and visit the Senate. This visit, according to Tokayev, will open new opportunities for multilateral cooperation between two countries.
