K. Bishimbayev reports to the President on “Nurly Zhol” implementation
Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a meeting with the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Kuandyk Bishimbayev, Akorda Press Service informs.
K. Bishimbayev reported at the meeting on the results of social and economic development of Kazakhstan over the 9 months of 2016, as well as on progress in implementing Nurly Zhol program, which is the main tool for the development of transport infrastructure and support to the economy.
The President emphasized the need to further accelerate the pace of economic development, improve the social welfare of the population, rational and effective use of resources of budget and National Fund allocated to support economy and implement the key state programs.
Minister of National Economy noted 0.4% increase in GDP over the 9 months of 2016.
The main drivers of economic growth are construction and transport industries, manufacturing and agriculture. Thus, increase in construction is fixed at 6.9% level, in agriculture � at 4.9%, transport � 4%, manufacturing � 0.6%. There is also an increase in volumes of producing the metallurgical and pharmaceutical products, food products and petrochemicals, K. Bishimbayev said.
The President was additionally informed on the progress in implementing Industrialization and Economic Growth 3rd institutional reform within 100 Concrete Steps Nations Plan.
