K.Bishimbayev reported to the President on the implementation of Nurly Zhol program

At the meeting, K. Bishimbayev reported to the President on the results of socio-economic development of Kazakhstan for 9 months of the current year, as well as on the implementation of Nurly Zhol program, which is the main tool for the development of transport infrastructure and support to the economy.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized the need to further accelerate the pace of economic development, improve the social welfare of the population, rational and effective use of budget funds and the National Fund, allocated to support the economy and to implement the key government programs.

Minister of National Economy noted GDP has increased by 0.4% for the first 9 months of 2016.

“The main drivers of economic growth are construction and transport industry, manufacturing and agriculture. For example, the volume of construction increased by 6.9%, agriculture – by 4.9%, in the transport sector – by 4%, in manufacturing – by 0.6%. Along with this, there is an increase in production volumes of metallurgical and pharmaceutical products, foodstuffs and oil,” K. Bishimbayev said.

In addition, the President of Kazakhstan was informed on the implementation of the third institutional reform “Industrialization and economic growth” in the framework of the Plan of the nation “100 Steps.”
