Japan to simplify visa application process and increase length of stay

During the meeting, the interlocutors examined the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Japan in November 2016, and discussed the current state and prospective areas of bilateral cooperation, cooperation in a multilateral format, including coordination of efforts within the framework of the work of the UN Security Council.

The head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry acquainted his Japanese counterpart with the priorities of the trade, economic, investment, transit and transport policy of Kazakhstan.

Touching upon the interaction in bilateral format, the Japanese minister noted the relevance of the State Program of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev “Nurly Zhol”, noting the attractiveness of the transport and transit potential of our country. Japan will present the latest technological developments of its country during the specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
