Issues on ensuring safety of navigation discussed in Aktau
The work of the international round table on the topic “Further development of the maritime transport sector and improvement of security in the Caspian Sea” was attended by chief transport prosecutor Marat Alikhanov and Governor of Mangistau region Yeraly Tugzhanov. During the meeting, the issues of ensuring the safety of navigation, ecology, state control, and support of the domestic fleet were discussed. In particular, the need to create a rescue service in the Caspian Sea, clarify the concept of “small commercial vessel” in the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, adjust the legislation on subsoil use was noted.
According to the transport prosecutor’s office of Governor’s Office of Mangistau region, following the results of the forum joint measures were developed to solve key problems in the field of maritime transport.
It should be noted that representatives of the Ministries for investment and development, education and science, the border service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, prosecutors’ offices of Russia and Azerbaijan, and managers of companies in the field of maritime transport also took part in the round table.
