Issues of ill-treatment in social institutions of Labour Ministry discussed in Bishkek
The issues of ill-treatment of people in social institutions of the Ministry of Labour were discussed in Bishkek, the press service of the office of the Penal Reform International (PRI) in Kyrgyzstan reported.
The round table is organized within the framework of the Supporting the State and Civil Society efforts in combating Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment in Kyrgyzstan PRI project, funded by the European Union.
The purpose of the event is to present the results of a special study by the National Centre for the Prevention of Torture of the Kyrgyz Republic on the observance of the rights of the warded of social institutions to freedom from cruel treatment and favorable living conditions.
The event was attended by representatives of the relevant state bodies, as well as Kyrgyz Parliament members, Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic, and employees of national and international non-governmental organizations.
