Intellectual property sphere to reduce administrative barriers
The Government meeting considered the draft law On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on improving the intellectual property legislation.
The draft law has been developed by the interagency working group under the instructions of the Head of State for the gradual transition to the OECD standards in the area of intellectual property and is aimed at improving the intellectual property legislation, in particular, the trademarks and industrial property objects, as well as at excluding the rules that create administrative barriers in the intellectual property sphere.
As the Minister of Justice Marat Beketayev noted, 188 amendments are proposed to be introduced in 12 legislative acts.
