INFRASTRUCTURE OF CHECKPOINTS ON THE BORDER OF KAZAKHSTAN AND KYRGYZSTAN WILL BE IMPROVED
First Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Jeenbek Kulubaev.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral trade, economic and transport cooperation.
The sides are expected to boost trade and economic potential and increase trade turnover between the two countries, primarily through industrial cooperation, to $ 1 billion. United States dollars noted the need for delivery.
During the meeting the Ambassador proposed to improve bilateral border infrastructure on the border of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. In particular, the reconstruction of the checkpoint “Kordai-road” and the construction and reconstruction of the bridge at “Karasu-avtodorozhny checkpoint” were announced.
R. Sklyar emphasized the importance of establishing an appropriate infrastructure base for checkpoints and also shared plans of the Ministry on modernization and reconstruction of checkpoints in the border area of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to initiate the meeting of the authorized bodies in the first half of this year to conduct the relevant joint work (development of DED and FS). The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
