INDUSTRIAL MINISTERS OF THE EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION DISCUSSED THE ISSUES OF PRODUCTION COOPERATION
Moscow hosted the industrial ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union. Kazakhstan was represented by Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Roman Sklyar.
During the meeting, a number of issues were discussed, including the participation of Kazakh enterprises in the import substitution program of the Russian Federation, new approaches to industrial policy within the Eurasian Economic Union, cooperation in the production of agricultural and road construction equipment, opportunities of the EAEU member states to participate in the Russian state industrial information system.
According to the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, the Russian “Kirovets” tractor will be created soon.
“This year in May we will start industrial assembly in our country. Our partners at the St. Petersburg tractor plant will provide our domestic companies with technical documentation and drawings, “said Sklyar.
In addition, during the meeting the provisions of the Union bodies on establishment of the Industrial Policy Council of the EAEU and the Regulation on the Industrial Policy of the EAEU were approved.
Besides, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov held bilateral meetings within the framework of the meeting of the Ministers of Industry and Trade of the EAEU Member States, where joint projects in the field of industrial cooperation were identified.
