Independent Kazakhstan: 25 years of successful path
Today Kazakhstan is celebrating the 25th anniversary of independence, the event that brings to mind the most striking achievements of the country, as well as takes stock of the large cohesive work of all Kazakhstani people. The Kazakh Parliament, perceiving the sovereignty of Kazakhstan as the greatest value of our people, expressing a firm commitment to the strategic course of First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, adopts the declaration of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence.
“Adopting the declaration of the 25th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan the parliamentarians, of course, were proud of their country that had managed to pass the path for a short historical period that is equal to the historical era by its achievements. Kazakhstan today is a successful country that has created the dynamic economy, conducting a convincing social policy aimed primarily at the rise of living standards of people, improving their well-being, based on the social stability and harmony”, deputy of the Senate of Kazakhstan Mikhail Bortnik said.
In the world Kazakhstan has a reputation of a reliable partner, peace-loving state, building its relations on the principles of friendship and equal cooperation. All the achievements of Kazakhstan are primarily associated with the name of Leader of the Nation First President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Thanks to the high credibility and strategic vision of the Head of State the country has developed and successfully implemented “Kazakhstan 2050” Strategy, the National Plan “100 concrete steps: a modern state for all” to ensure the forward movement of Kazakhstan in number of 30 world leaders.
Independent Kazakhstan with its recent history has proved that can rightly be called a successful state and a leader of the entire Central Asian region. During 25 years of its independence, Kazakhstan has taken place as a politically stable country with the dynamic economy, the country that has the unique experience in success.
In our country, there have been enormous changes in the economic, political and social spheres. All the achievements and victories of independent Kazakhstan became possible thanks to the dedication and tireless work of every citizen of Kazakhstan under the strong and wise leadership of First President of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev.
“The political will and strategic vision of President N. Nazarbayev determined the success of Kazakhstan’s model of development, which enabled Kazakhstan to reach the path of the sustainable growth. The country is steadily moving into the top 30 world leaders, consistently implementing the Strategy “Kazakhstan-2050″. Through thoughtful and fruitful international initiatives of the Head of State the country has achieved the high international prestige, it has become a recognized leader in the global anti-nuclear movement”, the document says.
The strategic document of a new generation is the strategy “Kazakhstan-2050”, which aims to becoming one of the 30 most developed countries of the world. The National Plan of the Head of State “100 concrete steps” allows the country to develop the production and innovation, social services and create jobs, despite the extremely negative developments in the global financial system.
In addition, Kazakhstan is among the safest countries in the ranking of nuclear safety. On August 29, 1991 the Leader of the Nation shut down the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.
“The President of Kazakhstan acted as a global policymen, taking responsibility for the fate of not only his country, but of all mankind. With the closure of the Semipalatinsk test site a new phase of global nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament was launched. President N. Nazarbayev managed to solve the historically important task of turning Kazakhstan into a nuclear-free state without prejudice to the national interests of our country”, the document explains.
Over 25 years of independence Kazakhstan has become a Eurasian bridge of cooperation. Our country is an initiator and driving force of the integration projects such as the EAEU, SCO and CICA.
Kazakhstan has the experience of successful chairmanship in such major international organizations as the OSCE, OIC, EAEU, SCO, CIS, CSTO, CICA and the Turkic Council. As it was stated in the declaration, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Independence Kazakhstan became the first Central Asian country elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2017-2018. Having appreciated the contribution of Kazakhstan to the development of the international relations, the international community gave the credibility to our country to holde the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017.
At the initiative of Kazakhstan the United Nations declared August 29 as the International Day against Nuclear Tests. Kazakhstan made specific proposals to strengthen the nuclear nonproliferation regime, proposing to adopt the Universal Declaration of nuclear-free world.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan implements the programs “Business Roadmap-2020”, “Agribusiness-2020”, “Employment Program 2020”, aimed at improving the life of every citizen. In the jubilee – 25 year of independence – Kazakhstan took the 35th place in the ranking of Doing Business by the World Bank.
The country implements a number of strategically important infrastructure projects that will make a new economic breakthrough: the program “Nurly Zhol”, Western China – Western Europe, the Trans-Caspian international transport route. The exceptional role in the creation of new capital Astana belongs to the First President of the country, which has become the personification of the triumph of Kazakhstan’s independence and pride of the entire nation.
Kazakhstan has created a globally recognized model of development of the state, in which the interfaith and inter-ethnic peace and harmony reign.
“The Head of State created the unique institution of strengthening the unity of the people of Kazakhstan with constitutional status – the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. Historical synthesis on the crossroads of the world religions, languages, cultures and traditions formed the unique type of society in Kazakhstan, in which peace and harmony become the moral and ethical norms of the society, an integral part of our common culture. This made especially strong alloy of spirituality and civilization, making poly-confessional and multi-ethnicity in the strategic resource and the advantage of Kazakhstan”, the document says.
Note that the model of the peace and the consent of the public of Nazarbayev has become a world benchmark for the harmonious development of the society. Values of ”Mangilik El” clearly reflected the achievement of independence, common interests and historical destiny of the people of Kazakhstan.
Since independence, the reform aimed at the development of market relations were carried out in Kazakhstan: privatization, reform of public finances and the financial sector, pension reform, reform of public administration and others.
Recall that on December 16 1991 the Parliament passed the Constitutional Law “On the State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. This is the first document of independent Kazakhstan has become the embodiment of our people’s dream to build a strong and effective state.
