In London pavilion of the Great Britain for EXPO-2017 was presented

The Great Britain became one of the first countries to confirm participation in EXPO-2017, which appointed the National Commissioner and presented the design of their pavilion. The participation of the United Kingdom in this global forum demonstrates its commitment to building and developing a long-term partnership with Kazakhstan.

The Ambassador noted that Kazakhstan will become the first state in Central Asia and the CIS, which will host the worldwide exhibition.

“EXPO-2017 will become for our country one of the most important global forums in its history. Astana will turn into one of the international energy and cultural centers of the world. Within the framework of EXPO, it is planned to hold summits of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, national days of the countries participating in the exhibition, various ministerial forums – more than 3 thousand cultural and sports events”, – the Kazakh diplomat stressed.

Minister of State for Trade and Investment of the United Kingdom Greg Hands, emphasized high level of development of bilateral relations between our countries, priority role of Kazakhstan’s market for the United Kingdom and invited all attendees to participate in Kazakhstan’s road show “Caravan-EXPO 2017”, which will be held at one of London squares from 13 to 16 April.

At EXPO-2017, the British side will be represented by Lord Mayor of London City Andrew Parmley and Minister for International Trade Greg Hands.

The theme of the British pavilion at EXPO-2017 is called “We – energy”. The pavilion will be one of the largest in the exhibition area of 1 100 square meters, and according to the idea of chief designer Asif Khan will have the form of the Kazakh yurt. In the pavilion guests of the exhibition will have an opportunity to get acquainted with important historical discoveries of the Great Britain. Demonstration of a decanter will become a culmination � it is a material capable to change considerably a way of production and consumption of energy in the future.
