In Kazakhstan, in the Year of Youth, the first youth It-camp will be earned
Kazakhstan launched a socially significant project The World of Equal IT Opportunities, which is implemented by the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Social Projects Development Fund jointly with the Yerekshe T?dau Shelek CF with the participation of partners Chevron and the Eurasia Central Asia Foundation.
The project aims to develop the skills and competencies of young people with disabilities in the IT direction. The first stage of the project will be the acceptance of applications, 16 participants with disabilities from all regions of Kazakhstan will be selected, and emphasis will be placed on remote regions. Competitors selected during the 4 days of the youth IT camp will gain knowledge in the field of programming, packaging their own projects, leadership course and the basics of entrepreneurship. Within the camp, a competition of IT projects for the social sphere will be held, the best of them will receive grant support in the form of the necessary technical equipment to launch a socially oriented IT project. A mentor will be assigned to each project, said Zahir Begaliyev, program director of the Erekshe Ta?dau-Shelek CF
According to her, in our country there are many different training courses for people with special needs. However, educational projects in general are sharpened to equip a person with new knowledge. Zahira Begaliyeva is convinced that the IT camp is necessary in order to inspire young people to use this knowledge right now to develop existing skills.
