In Almaty, large families took the keys of the apartments under the program “Bakytty otbasy”

The governor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baybek and deputy chairman of the board of Zhilstroysberbank Zhanar Zhubaniyazov gave the keys to low-income mothers of large families as the part of the Bakytty Otbasy city program initiated on behalf of Elbasy.

During the solemn ceremony, Bauyrzhan Baybek mentioned that over the past 3 years more than 9,000 needy families received the keys to the apartments, including the Nurly Zher program. Almost half of them are large and single-parent families, orphans, veterans, people with special needs, etc. Already soon, the long-awaited apartments will receive almost 2,000 more Almaty families.

On the instructions of Elbasy, we make the comprehensive support to large families. Literally 2 weeks ago with the participation of Head of State K.K. Tokayev opened the first Mothers Support Center, where nearly 1,000 families received counseling. More than 400 children began to attend kindergartens for free. 3 thousand schoolchildren and students for excellent study from March receive monthly scholarships at the expense of the local budget. Employment and retraining of new specialties are being done, said Bauyrzhan Baybek.

As of today, out of 1,276 large families standing in line for housing in Almaty, more than half have already applied for a preferential housing program. Now 195 large families draw up documents for apartments in the bank, and 44 families have already signed a contract of sale and received housing certificates.

Analysis of applications showed that most of the participants of the program Bakytty Otbasy stood in a queue for housing in 2016-2018 and were 6-10 thousand in a queue, which implied they would receive housing at least 5-6 years later. This program allowed to get new housing today.

At the moment, House Construction Savings Bank has accepted loan applications from 345 families, of which 195 families have found apartments and are now preparing to apply for loans. Today, 12 large families have already been issued loans worth 163 millions tenge, and today we congratulate them on this event. They received loans at the lowest rate in the country – 2% per annum with a down payment of 10%. Families who could not pay the down payment were helped by the Almaty governor’s office, issuing housing certificates in the amount of one million tenge, explained Zhanar Zhubaniyazova.

Preferential housing loan under the program Bakytty otbasy is issued for the purchase of new housing. The maximum loan amount is 15 millions tenge. Almaty resident Anar Asanbekova purchased a two-room apartment for 13.5 million tenge. She will soon move into her own home with her husband and 5 children.

Before that, our family lived in a suburb in a rented apartment. After learning about the Bakytty otbasy, we collected the documents, filed an application, chose housing and are now preparing for the move. We have so much delight from this event, because before that we didn’t even think about buying our own property in Almaty, it was too expensive, says Anar Asanbekova.

To support large families by increasing the affordability of purchasing housing at the XVIII Congress of the party “Nur Otan” entrusted Elbasy. Almaty became the first city that launched the housing program for large families Bakytty otbasy, allocating funds from the city budget for this. Thanks to this, hundreds of Almaty families can now move from someone else’s rental housing to their own apartments.
